WEX is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Full Stack to join their NAM Experiences team in a remote position. The role involves designing and developing web and back-end applications to enhance customer experiences for large fleets and transportation companies.
About the Role
As a Sr. Software Engineer, Full Stack, you will be responsible for building robust and scalable web applications, developing public REST APIs, implementing automated testing strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality user experiences. You will also troubleshoot production issues, maintain documentation, and drive cross-team projects.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- 5-8 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, object-oriented design, and problem-solving.
- Expertise in designing and developing internet-scale services with scalability, availability, security, and reliability design tenets.
- Strong proficiency with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Proficiency in backend development, with expertise in Java, Go or C#, and associated frameworks like SpringBoot.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in computer science or software engineering.
- 8 years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience with micro-frontends or module federation.
- Exposure to backend technologies such as Java or Node.js.
- Experience with cloud-native environments, including Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS/GCP/Azure.
- Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases; e.g. SQL, MongoDB.
