About the Role
As the Lead Automotive SoC Stability Engineer, you will ensure the stability and reliability of Snapdragon automotive platforms running Linux/QNX/Android. Your responsibilities will include optimizing the system for robustness, acting as the final point of escalation for stability issues, utilizing advanced debugging tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for fast incident response to critical issues.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- 4+ years of work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Preferred:
- 10+ years of experience in embedded systems, automotive software, Linux/QNX/Android platform development.
- Deep understanding of SoC architecture, including CPU cores, peripherals, trade-offs in performance vs low-power design.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel, device drivers, and advanced troubleshooting with hypervisors.
- Strong understanding of embedded Linux build systems like Yocto.
- Deep expertise in security features like verified boot and trusted execution environments.
- Proven track record leading Linux/QNX product launches triaging critical system robustness issues under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical issues and report on project status to both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
