YMCA of Central Massachusetts is seeking an SSYI Outreach Worker/Case-Manager (Full-Time) to work in Worcester, MA. The role focuses on connecting high-risk young adults with essential services to reduce violence and criminal activity.
About the Role
As an SSYI Outreach Worker/Case-Manager, you will engage with proven-risk youth through outreach, conduct assessments, and develop personalized intervention plans. Your responsibilities will include providing case management support, coordinating with local organizations, and ensuring compliance with documentation and grant requirements.
About You
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED); associate or bachelor's degree in social work, human services, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in youth outreach, street work, reentry services, or case management.
Strong connection to and knowledge of the local community.
Demonstrated ability to engage high-risk youth and young adults.
Cultural competency and trauma-informed care experience.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally.
Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends.
Commitment to public safety, racial equity, and youth development.
Preferred:
Commitment to the YMCA mission, values, and leadership competencies, with a willingness to obtain Multi-Team/Branch Leader certification within the required timeframe.
