Summary
Great Plains Tribal Health is seeking a Staff Accountant I/II to join their team in Rapid City, SD. The role involves performing day-to-day accounting activities and assisting other accounting staff as needed.
About the Role
As a Staff Accountant I/II, you will be responsible for general accounting functions, accounts receivable, grant-related functions, treasury functions, and travel functions. You will assist with monthly/year-end closing, internal and external audits, and maintain compliance with federal laws and regulations. Additionally, you will coordinate with software vendors to enhance the accounting software and perform other related duties as assigned.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or associate's degree with three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other Internet technologies.
- Valid driver's license and compliance with federal, state, and grant regulations.
Preferred:
- Five (5) years of service at Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board/Oyate Health Center at Level I or demonstrated proficiency as a Staff Accountant Level I.
- Familiarity and/or experience working with American Indian populations.
