About the Role
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, analyzing financial status, improving systems and procedures, executing month-end close procedures, managing payroll updates, and collaborating with internal teams and external auditors. You will also stay updated with industry trends and financial legislation.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and GL journal entries.
- Experience with month-end close procedures.
- Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Paycor and NetSuite.
