Jobot is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their Accounting + Finance team in Santa Fe, NM. The role involves maintaining financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, with a focus on grant accounting.
About the Role
As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare financial statements, manage the full cycle of accounting activities, oversee grant accounting, and use Sage Intacct to streamline financial processes. You will also assist in budget preparation, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and participate in special projects.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the Accounting + Finance industry.
- Solid experience and understanding of grant accounting.
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills, especially with MS Excel and accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- CPA certification.
