About the Role
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing budgets, approving expenditures, and ensuring accurate receivables. You will produce monthly financial reports, analyze results, and meet regularly with JEC managers to review financial performance. This position requires skills in budget management, grants management, and financial reporting.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business with 5-7 years relevant business and accounting experience.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze financial processes and systems.
- Experience with accounting software such as Abila MIP and other accounting software.
- Working knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with WCAC staff and external agencies.
- Knowledge of government grant/contract compliance requirements.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of foundation and private grant procedures and requirements.
- Understanding of Accounts Receivable and other accounting operations.
- Ability to train and assist agency finance and program staff as needed in finance policy and procedures.
