About the Role
As a Staff Hardware Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the hardware design and development of automated PCBA and unit-level test stations. Your tasks will include designing custom electronic test equipment, documenting designs, collaborating with engineering teams, participating in design reviews, and performing data analysis. You will also support technical root cause analysis and resolution of issues found during testing.
About You
Required:
- BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience designing unit or circuit board functional test equipment.
- 3+ years’ experience designing test equipment for electronics, preferably high voltage power electronics.
- Ability to create schematics using design software tools such as Altium and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Hands-on experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting complex issues with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with modular test instruments and National Instruments I/O Systems (PXI, cDAQ).
- Knowledge of computer hardware, communication, and bus protocols (RS232, CAN, GPIB, Ethernet, USB).
- PCB design experience.
- Programming ability in LabVIEW.
