Summary
HDR is seeking a National Substation Physical Design Sub-Business Class Leader to join their team in Lexington, KY. The role involves providing subject-matter expertise and leadership within the power delivery substation business class.
About the Role
As the National Substation Physical Design Sub-Business Class Leader, you will drive the development and implementation of quality programs and training for junior engineers, maintain technical practices and standards, and support the professional development of staff. You will also lead proposal technical reviews, participate in root cause analysis, and achieve utilization goals by supporting projects.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
- 10 years of experience in the field.
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.
- Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience.
- Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
Preferred:
- Active participant in ongoing technical working groups.
- Strong knowledge of physical/outdoor design concepts including substation arrangements and constructability.
- Experience mentoring and coordinating Physical design workshare with multiple area offices.
- General knowledge of substation design software such as CDEGS, WinIGS.
