U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Staff Physician (Cardiologist) to join their team in Coatesville, PA. The role involves providing quality care and teaching related to cardiovascular diseases, managing heart failure patients, and participating in both inpatient and outpatient services.

About the Role

As a Staff Physician (Cardiologist), you will be responsible for applying national and VA guidelines to patient screening, surveillance, and management of cardiovascular diseases. You will work as an attending physician, prescribe treatments, supervise and teach other healthcare providers, and participate in quality assurance programs. The position requires maintaining professional competency and flexibility to provide necessary services to the Veteran population.

About You

Required:

Doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.
Completed residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Board Certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease.

Preferred:

Board certification in cardiology and echocardiography.
Experience of more than 2 years in cardiology.
