Summary
CoreWeave is seeking a Staff Power Engineer to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves owning the architecture, design, and evolution of power delivery systems for high-density, GPU-accelerated data centers.
About the Role
As a Staff Power Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, validating, and optimizing power delivery solutions, collaborating with data center teams, debugging complex power issues, and mentoring junior engineers. You will ensure designs meet high standards for efficiency, safety, reliability, and scalability while driving power designs from concept through mass production.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of hands-on internal power design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong expertise in power delivery and power system design.
- Proven ability to collaborate across hardware, mechanical, thermal, and systems teams from concept through production.
- Experience with server platforms, including power, thermal, mechanical, and signal integrity considerations.
- Deep understanding of PCB, PCBA, and system-level manufacturing processes, including test and validation.
- Excellent debugging skills across complex, cross-disciplinary issues.
- Solid knowledge of design for manufacturability, reliability, and scale.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience designing complex hardware systems with high-speed interfaces.
- Strong electrical board design expertise.
- Experience leading cross-functional design efforts in fast-paced environments.
- Strong documentation and design review practices.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Understanding of rack-level power requirements and their impact on upstream infrastructure, including UPSs, generators, and power generation systems.
