About the Role

As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating psychiatric patients who have been arrested, providing initial assessments, and determining the need for inpatient admission. You will work in a flexible schedule of 40 hours per week, covering both outpatient and inpatient services, with an average caseload of 8-13 cases per psychiatrist. You will also have access to clinical social workers for triaging less acute patients when necessary.

About You

Required:

Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid California medical license.
Board certification in Psychiatry.

Preferred:

Experience working in correctional facilities or with incarcerated populations.
Familiarity with psychiatric treatment protocols and crisis intervention.
