About the Role
As a Staff Safety Systems Engineer, you will bridge the gap between autonomous vehicle systems and enterprise architecture for freight operations. Your responsibilities include developing use cases for safety analysis, collaborating with various teams to translate product requirements, defining and allocating system requirements, performing safety analyses, and executing Verification & Validation plans for scalable cloud services.
About You
Required:
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Five or more years experience in systems engineering, safety engineering, or a related field.
- Experience writing verifiable functional and non-functional requirements, preferably in autonomous systems.
- Strong foundation in verification and validation methods for safety-critical systems.
- Proven ability to work in high-ambiguity environments with evolving priorities.
Preferred:
- Experience deploying features or products at scale within a logistics or freight environment.
- Familiarity with cloud-based dashboarding and performance monitoring for distributed systems.
- Experience with various testing modalities and strategies.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and modern release processes (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with modern programming languages (e.g., C++ and Golang) and API frameworks (gRPC/REST).
