About the Role
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction for high-quality, maintainable solutions, advocating engineering excellence, and contributing to the design process. You will work on critical projects that impact Google's advertising products and ensure excellent policy-related experiences for customers and consumers.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience designing and building large-scale systems, including serverless and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience in Ads Safety, cybersecurity, or related domains.
- Experience with human review processes and systems that complement automated platforms.
- Ability to lead projects and mentor other engineers.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
