Intuit is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team in Oakdale, CA. The role involves architecting and developing web software and leading a team to enhance product features for Small and Mid-market Business customers.

About the Role

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and developing web applications, leading the gathering of functional requirements, and acting as a technical subject matter expert. You will mentor fellow engineers, generate technical documentation, and work cross-functionally with various teams to drive results. The position requires a strong background in backend web technologies and experience with Agile methodologies.

About You

Required:

8+ years experience designing and developing web, software, or mobile applications.
BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
Proficiency in Server Side technologies -- Java/J2EE/Spring Boot/Database.
Expertise in Kafka, Kubernetes, and AWS.
3+ years experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST.
Excellent communication skills.

Preferred:

Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
Expertise in the Software design/architecture process.
Experience with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD).
Business Acumen - strategic thinking & strategy development.
