Advantage Technical is seeking a Staff Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team in Bellingham, MA. The role involves strengthening supplier quality processes and ensuring high-quality product delivery from the supply chain.
About the Role
As a Staff Supplier Quality Engineer, you will take ownership of supplier quality initiatives, working directly with suppliers to resolve issues, drive corrective actions, and communicate requirements. Your responsibilities will include conducting supplier audits, leading corrective action activities, and collaborating across teams to ensure quality issues are resolved.
About You
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in supplier quality engineering, quality assurance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent).
Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspections.
Experience with supplier corrective actions, audits, and root cause analysis tools.
Effective communication and negotiation skills for working directly with suppliers and internal teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or quality systems is a plus.
Preferred:
Background in DoD sub-tier supplier management.
Familiarity with metal forming, welding, coatings, or electromechanical assembly.
Experience in highly regulated industries (aerospace, defense, medical device, or similar).
