About the Role
As a Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for reading and analyzing blueprints, cutting and shaping steel components, accurately assembling steel parts using various methods, performing welding techniques, inspecting finished products for quality, operating fabrication equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines.
About You
Required:
- Previous experience in steel fabrication or a related trade.
- Proficient in welding, cutting, and shaping steel; familiarity with fabrication tools and machinery.
- Competence in reading and interpreting engineering and shop drawings.
- Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in industrial environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding certifications (AWS, CWB) or trade school training preferred.
- A strong commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices.
Preferred:
- Experience operating CNC machinery or advanced fabrication tools.
- Knowledge of structural steel codes and standards (e.g., AISC, AWS).
- Certifications in forklift or overhead crane operation.
- Experience in custom fabrication or complex assembly projects.
