Shield AI is seeking a Strategy and Operations Manager to join their team in San Diego, CA. The role involves translating the business unit strategic vision into action and supporting operational initiatives for the Hivemind business.
About the Role
As a Strategy and Operations Manager, you will work closely with the CTO and Sr. Director of Strategy and Operations to develop and communicate the Hivemind strategy. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with leadership to create tactical plans, driving execution of high-priority initiatives, evaluating strategic investments, redefining customer capture processes, and supporting operational excellence and M&A activities.
About You
Required:
- 2-4 years of experience at a Consulting Firm or Investment Bank, ideally focused on the technology and/or Aerospace and Defense sector.
- 3-5 years of experience at a Defense Tech company or B2B Technology disruptor in a Strategy & Operations capacity or as a Chief of Staff within a fast-moving organization.
- 8+ years management and leadership experience, preferably in operational and growth settings.
Preferred:
- Exposure to government procurement cycles and/or B2B sales processes.
- High level of technical proficiency with PPTX/Excel.
- Experience with a cross-functional strategic planning process.
- Experience designing and driving cross-functional alignment and performance management systems.
- Ability to create granular process maps, identify choke points, and synthesize into actionable takeaways.
- MBA or advanced degree.
