About the Role
As a Student Employee-Engineering Technology-Research Assistant, you will work on a project that aims to develop a manufacturing cell capable of automatically engraving wood coaster blanks based on selected design patterns. Your responsibilities will include integrating various automated systems such as robotic arms, automated guided vehicles, conveyor belts, IoT sensors, and controllers to achieve the engraving process, with potential for expanding additional manufacturing processes and material handling.
About You
Required:
- Undergraduate student majoring in Mechanical and Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology.
- Previous experience with single board computers (SBC) and industrial robotics.
- Previous experience with programming SBC, sensors, and graphic user interfaces.
Preferred:
- Experience with automated manufacturing systems.
- Familiarity with IoT technologies and their applications in manufacturing.
Benefits
- Hourly wage of $12.00 per hour.
- Flexible working hours up to 12 hours per week.
