Summary
Textron Systems is seeking a Subcontracts Project Manager to join their team in New Orleans, LA. The role involves managing subcontractor acquisitions for a major defense program, ensuring effective supplier program execution.
About the Role
As a Subcontracts Project Manager, you will partner with Program Management to consolidate subcontractor requirements into comprehensive requests for proposal (RFPs). You will examine bid responses, conduct cost and pricing analysis, negotiate and manage complex subcontracts, and ensure compliance with government regulations. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring subcontractor performance, managing financial and technical requirements, and facilitating communication between Textron Systems and subcontractors.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar discipline.
- 3 years of experience working on project teams, including project schedule development and risk management.
- Experience working with or in a Procurement Organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
Preferred:
- Broad based business experience with emphasis on negotiating and administering contractual agreements in the industrial manufacturing field.
- PMP Certification or equivalent.
