Summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer Consultant 2 - Grid to join their team in Walnut Creek, CA. The role involves managing project teams for the design, modification, and analysis of high voltage substations.
About the Role
As a Substation Engineer Consultant, you will manage project teams consisting of engineers, designers, estimators, and scheduling professionals. Your responsibilities include coordinating detailed design phases, managing stakeholder work, ensuring project quality and budget adherence, and preparing technical reports. You will also communicate with clients and support business development opportunities.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor of Science Engineering degree.
- 10 or more years of experience in design engineering and/or management of high voltage utility projects.
- Specific experience in Project Management of Utility Transmission, Substation or Energy Projects.
- Knowledge of engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE and ANSI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering degree.
- Degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.
- Advanced management/business degree or certification.
- PE license.
- PMP Certification.
