About the Role
As a Substitute Food Service Cook-Aide, you will assist the Manager in delivering cost-effective food service programs. Your responsibilities will include adhering to sanitation and safety standards, participating in food preparation, following established procedures for meal service, and maintaining required records. You will also engage in training and stay informed about relevant regulations.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma.
- Ability to function as a positive, contributing team member.
- Ability to communicate in a cheerful and positive manner with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Basic knowledge of dietary guidelines and meal pattern requirements for children.
- Interest in marketing and merchandising to create enthusiasm with the customer base.
- Ability to maintain required department records accurately.
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and maintain high standards of safety, sanitation, and integrity.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred:
- Experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of electronic point of sale system.
