About the Role
As a SUD-LCDC-OSAR Counselor, you will work closely with community resources and contracted treatment providers to ensure individuals are familiar with the OSAR process. Your responsibilities will include conducting substance-use screenings, completing financial and psychosocial assessments, providing referrals, and ensuring follow-ups for individuals enrolled in treatment. You will also participate in outreach events and collaborate with community stakeholders to enhance service delivery and care coordination.
About You
Required:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with substance abuse coursework.
- Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care Practices.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in substance use, psychology, social work, or counseling related field.
- Current, independent licensure in the State of Texas as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or LCDC Intern with 2000+ hours.
- Two years’ experience working in the field of substance use disorder treatment.
- CCBHC knowledge and experience.
- Bilingual Spanish/English.
