Summary
Recovery and Wellness Centers of Midwest Ohio is seeking a SUD Outpatient Counselor to join their team in Sidney, OH. The role involves providing primary treatment for individuals affected by chemical dependency and ensuring quality clinical care.
About the Role
As a SUD Outpatient Counselor, you will be responsible for informing clients about confidentiality limits, performing diagnostic and treatment planning services, coordinating interventions, maintaining documentation, and integrating services with other professionals. You will also participate in program assessments and may supervise interns or unlicensed counselors. The position requires compliance with confidentiality rules and participation in staff meetings and other related duties.
About You
Required:
- Demonstrated 2 years experience in substance abuse treatment or equivalent behavior healthcare treatment or 5 years sobriety in a therapeutic environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent with the ability to become certified upon hiring.
- Acceptable credentialing (LICDC, LCDC-II, LCDC-III).
- Good oral & written communication skills.
- Competency in areas prerequisite for performing activities noted above.
Preferred:
- Displays good customer service skills with clients and public at large.
- Utilizes computer well enough to perform clinical documentation in CareLogic and generate written communication in WORD or via email.
