YMCA Of Southern Nevada is seeking a Summer Camp Counselor to join their team in Las Vegas, NV. The role involves supervising groups of children and implementing YMCA activities under the direction of the Youth Development Director.
About the Role
As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will lead and participate in group activities such as crafts, STEAM, sports, reading, and games. You will follow YMCA Camp Standard Operating Procedures, implement program activities, promote character development, and serve as a positive role model for participants. This seasonal position requires mandatory training from May 16th to May 23rd, with camp running from May 26th to August 7th.
About You
Required:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training.
Mandatory Summer Camp Training from May 16th to May 23rd.
Working with Children training within 30 days of hire.
Current American Red Cross CPR for the professional rescuer (includes AED) and First Aid Certifications within 30 days of hire.
Must be 16 years or older.
Preferred:
18 years or older preferred.
