As the Person in Charge for the Summer Food Service Program, you will be responsible for preparing bagged breakfasts and lunches, ordering food and supplies, organizing meals for distribution, and ensuring compliance with federal guidelines. You will also supervise staff, monitor food safety, and maintain accurate records for reimbursement claims.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years experience in quantity food preparation as a head cook, cook, or assistant cook.
- Knowledge of Federal School Lunch and Breakfast Requirements.
- Experience in operating and caring for standardized food service equipment.
- Ability to train and supervise employees.
- Current knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation procedures.
- One year experience in ordering and receiving foods, taking inventories, and filling out government forms for reimbursement.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated experience in a position requiring independent judgment and discretion.
- Experience functioning in a team-oriented environment.
