A Hiring Company is seeking a Superintendent-Construction to oversee on-site construction activities in Madison, WI. The role requires a deep understanding of all phases of construction and involves coordinating subcontractors, field personnel, and ensuring safety and quality control.
About the Role
As a Superintendent-Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on construction sites for projects up to $30 million. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to plans and schedules, enforcing safety protocols, creating and updating project schedules, coordinating with trade partners, implementing quality control procedures, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. You may also perform physical construction tasks as needed.
About You
Required:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a superintendent on $5 million or larger commercial construction projects or 5-8+ years as a foreman of a single craft on commercial construction projects.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and scheduling.
Able to read construction documents and drawings.
OSHA 30 certification required.
Preferred:
BS in Engineering or Construction Management.
Familiarity with Procore and Microsoft Project.
