CoxHealth is seeking a Supervisor I - Laboratory to join their team in Springfield, MO. The role involves assisting the Director of Laboratory Services in managing the laboratory department, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring quality control.
About the Role
As a Supervisor I - Laboratory, you will be responsible for leading and managing laboratory operations, defining mission and goals, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. You will perform clinical testing, assist personnel, and collaborate with other supervisors to meet performance standards and regulatory requirements.
About You
Required:
- Associates Degree OR Bachelor's within 90 days OR completion of an accredited MLT Program OR High School Diploma or equivalent AND Grandfathered status under CLIA Regulations.
- 1 year experience in one or more disciplines of laboratory medicine.
- Certified as a Medical Technologist (ASCP)/Medical Laboratory Scientist from a nationally recognized laboratory certifying agency or eligible to sit for exam at time of hire; must obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred:
- Prior Managerial/Supervisory Experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
- Ability to monitor and compile data and disseminate results to multiple levels of leaders and employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of medical supplies and equipment.
