About the Role

As a Supervisor Lieutenant - Police Officer, you will be responsible for supervising sergeants, police officers, and Public Safety Officers, issuing work assignments, conducting patrols, responding to calls for service, and enforcing IU Health rules and state statutes. You will also assist in de-escalating tense situations, maintain records, and act as the senior departmental officer in the absence of higher-ranking officers.

About You

Required:

High school diploma or GED equivalent and seven (7) years of law enforcement experience, or an Associate's degree and five (5) years of law enforcement experience.
Current non-restricted Indiana Driver's License.
Successful completion of Indiana Law Enforcement Tier I or II training and the IU Health DPS field training program.
Ability to obtain NCIC/IDACS certification and access.
No convictions for felony, domestic violence, or violent misdemeanor offenses.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background investigation, drug screening, and psychological exam.
Working knowledge of computers and various software programs.

Preferred:

Experience in a supervisory role within law enforcement.
Familiarity with healthcare security protocols.
