About the Role
As a Supplemental Specialty Pharmacy Intern, you will be responsible for selecting prescribed medications, monitoring inventory, delivering medications to patient care areas, preparing sterile products, and ensuring compliance with safety checks. You will also assist in managing pharmaceutical waste and support the professional growth of the pharmacy team.
About You
Required:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Pharmacy Tech registration or Pharmacist intern registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred:
- ACPE I.V Certification with completion of a 40-hour course in I.V. admixture.
- 1-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
