Summary
Redwire Space is seeking a Staff Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team in Goleta, CA. This senior-level role involves ensuring that new and existing suppliers meet quality requirements and supporting both Quality and Procurement teams.
About the Role
As a Staff Supplier Quality Engineer, you will lead a small team of supplier quality engineers, guide less experienced workers, and manage supplier quality assurance processes. Your responsibilities include conducting supplier assessments, audits, and inspections, processing nonconformances, and interfacing with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a STEM field and minimum of 7 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, preferably in the aerospace or space technology industry.
- Deep knowledge of supplier quality assurance and related fields.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Proven experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, including GD&T.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification.
- Experience with aerospace technology, products, and processes.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint / TIPQA ERP system.
