The Arc of Union County Inc. is seeking a Support Professional, Residential to join their team in Springfield, NJ. The role involves providing safe, secure, and dependable support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them achieve social inclusion and personal well-being.
About the Role
As a Support Professional, Residential, you will implement and facilitate behavioral and habilitation plans, teach and monitor skills development, and provide support and mentoring to service recipients. You will ensure a positive and stimulating environment, maintain adequate supervision, and transport service recipients to community outings. This position requires completion of mandatory training and adherence to agency policies regarding service delivery and professional conduct.
About You
Required:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license with an abstract not exceeding 5 points.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Preferred:
- Familiarity or experience in Social Supports Services or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Experience as a Home Health Aide, Nursing Assistant, or in Private Personal Care.
