Summary
Collaborative Support Programs of NJ is seeking a Support Worker | Residential to join their team in Eatontown, NJ. The role involves providing direct support and skill development to residents with psychiatric and/or substance use disabilities.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will work under the direction of the Deputy Director, primarily in the field (70-80% of the time) to meet with residents, assess their needs, and implement service plans. You will adopt a person-centered collaborative approach to support residents in achieving their wellness goals across various dimensions, including housing, emotional health, and employment. Additionally, you will participate in community advocacy and support development, and be available for rotating on-call weekends.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a mental health related discipline or High School Diploma/GED plus 3+ years of related work or life experience.
- Valid NJ Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate billable progress notes.
- Exceptional time management skills to support multiple residents.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office products and general computer literacy.
Preferred:
- Bilingual skills.
- Lived experience dealing with mental health/substance use challenges.
