About the Role
As a Surgery Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating surgery schedules, preparing patient records, communicating with hospital staff, and managing various administrative tasks. You will also assist patients and their families with pre and post-operative information and ensure that all necessary documentation is obtained.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited institution required.
- A minimum of at least 2 years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of medical insurance and medical terminology.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of medical office procedures including surgery procedures and practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, coworkers, and the public.
