Indiana University Health is seeking a Surgical Resource Technologist to join their team at the Spring Mill Surgery Center in Carmel, Indiana. The role involves providing service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures in a premier eye surgery center.

About the Role

As a Surgical Resource Technologist, you will assist in ensuring the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment, supplies, and instrumentation in the operating room prior to each operation. You will provide assistance to the surgeon during procedures, help with the turnover of the operating room, and work collaboratively with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and registered nurses.

About You

Required:

High School Diploma/GED.
Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist obtained from the NBSTSA.
Basic Life Support Certification.
Minimum of 1 year experience in the Skilled Technologist role or relevant experience.
Knowledge of name and function of surgical equipment and instrumentation.

Preferred:

17 continuing education units annually.
Successful completion of Perioperative Services Preceptor class and/or completion of 4 precepting eLMS modules and/or facility based preceptor training.
Ability to resource to other staff utilizing advanced technology in cases.
