About the Role
As a Surgical Technologist, you will assist the surgical team before, during, and after procedures, ensuring the operating room is prepared and maintained. Your responsibilities will include setting up surgical equipment, preparing patients for surgery, maintaining sterile techniques, and assisting with various surgical tasks. You will also support labor and delivery activities and may take on additional duties related to quality improvement and training.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) credential.
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program with two (2) years of experience as a Surgical Technologist or five (5) years of full-time employment in an Operating Room setting.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Technologist in Surgery- Certified (TS-C) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
