SURVEY TECHNICIAN I

County of Los Angeles is seeking a Survey Technician I to join their Department of Public Works in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves performing various surveying tasks including operating survey instruments and conducting field measurements.

As a Survey Technician I, you will be responsible for operating reflective prism poles, leveling rods, and self-reading rods for vertical control, conducting construction and topographic surveys, and performing hydrographic surveys. You will take measurement readings, provide mathematical checks, record distances, set up survey instruments, prepare survey markers, and maintain survey tools and equipment. Additionally, you may assist in planning survey assignments and perform calculations for construction staking.
