Bankwell is seeking a SVP, Chief Security Officer to join their team in New Canaan, CT. The role involves developing and implementing the organization’s security strategy to protect people, assets, information, and reputation.

About the Role

As the Chief Security Officer (CSO), you will oversee physical security, cybersecurity, and information security, ensuring comprehensive security measures are in place to mitigate risks and respond effectively to security incidents. Your responsibilities will include strategic security planning, cybersecurity management, physical security operations, incident response planning, and leading the security team while collaborating with other departments.

About You

Required:

15+ years of experience in security management, with a strong background in both physical and cybersecurity.
Must be a current Chief Security Officer/CISO or Deputy Chief Security Officer/CISO to be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, criminal justice, or a related field.

Preferred:

Experience with cloud-based data solutions including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Experience with SWIFT and FRB technologies.
Experience in a FinTech environment.
Strong knowledge of AI.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CPP, or CCISO.
