Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Swim Coach to join their team in Willow Grove, PA. The role involves providing support and encouragement to swimmers in learning competitive swimming programs while ensuring safety and cleanliness.
About the Role
As a Swim Coach, you will lead swimmers through skill mastery and swim practices, provide a safe environment for learning YMCA Competitive Swimming, evaluate swimmers' skills, and ensure a fair practice and swim meet experience. You will also incorporate character development objectives into the program and communicate YMCA rules effectively.
About You
Required:
- 18+ years of age
- High School Degree or equivalent, 2 years of directly related experience in developing and conducting programs
- Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including nights and weekends
- Current Swim Lesson Instructor Trainer or ARC Lifeguard/First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer instructor certification
- Maintain current instructor and instructor trainer certifications (YMCA, Red Cross, etc.)
- Must have flexibility to travel between multiple branches
Preferred:
- Knowledge of computer software used for running meets and swimmer line ups
