About the Role
As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for creating a safe and comfortable environment for students, teaching swim classes according to the Shawnee Swim Lessons Manual, communicating class statuses to students and parents, recording attendance, and monitoring student progress. You will also need to complete lesson plans for substitutes and attend training sessions and staff meetings as scheduled.
About You
Required:
- Must be at least 15 years of age before May 31, 2026.
- CPR, AED, and Oxygen Administration certification, or the ability to obtain prior to the start of the pool season.
- Current Swim Instructor Certification or ability to complete the Shawnee Swim Instructor Training Program prior to employment.
Preferred:
- Previous swim instruction/swimming pool work experience.
- Lifeguard/PA certification.
Benefits
- Current pay begins at $16.00 per hour.
- Additional compensation for returning employees after each season.
