Summary
Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Swim Team Director/Coach to join their team in Willow Grove, PA. The role involves managing the swim team, preparing practice workouts, and ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
About the Role
As the Swim Team Director/Coach, you will lead swimmers through skill mastery, recruit and train competitive swim staff, evaluate swimmers' skills, and ensure safety during practices and meets. You will also be responsible for setting up home meets, providing excellent service to members, and assisting the Aquatic Director to maintain safety standards.
About You
Required:
- 18 years old with High School Degree or equivalent.
- 2 years of directly related experience in developing and conducting programs.
- Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including nights and weekends.
- Current Swim Lesson Instructor Trainer or ARC Lifeguard/First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer instructor certification.
- Maintain current instructor and instructor trainer certifications (YMCA, Red Cross, etc.).
