Summary
Symbotic is seeking a System Engineer to join their team in Seymour, IN. The role involves running the system control center to ensure optimal system performance and driving continuous improvement and troubleshooting projects.
About the Role
As a System Engineer, you will monitor the health of automated systems, troubleshoot advanced operational issues, communicate technical concepts to site teams, document and report issues to engineering, train operators on system components, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. You will also partner with customers and internal teams to drive performance improvements.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or software Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with automated systems.
- Experience with PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens), Robot (ABB), and software languages such as SQL, Linux, Python.
- Hands-on experience with assembling, operating, and troubleshooting robotics and electro-mechanical systems.
Preferred:
- Ability to work under pressure and in an environment of changing priorities.
- A desire to learn new equipment and assist team members as needed.
- A high sense of urgency.
