About the Role
As a Systems & Infrastructure Specialist, you will take ownership of maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable internal IT systems that support day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include configuring and maintaining servers, managing network-attached storage, supporting IT initiatives, and collaborating on software systems that interface with production hardware. This role offers a chance to influence best practices and contribute to the company's transformation into a more software- and data-driven organization.
About You
Required:
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in systems administration, DevOps, IT infrastructure, or a closely related technical role.
- Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows server administration, including basic networking, users/groups, and system services.
- Exposure to virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, or similar).
- Basic understanding of containers (e.g., Docker) and how they are deployed and managed.
- Foundational knowledge of databases, PostgreSQL, and ports, authentication, and backups.
Preferred:
- Experience with or interest in file storage (NAS/SAN or cloud storage) and SFTP.
- Comfortable working with routers, firewalls, and VPN-like solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and willingness to handle both strategic projects and day-to-day IT issues.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with developers, operations, and leadership.
