Summary
Simvay Systems is seeking a Systems Administrator to join their team in Westlake, OH. The role involves administering and maintaining secure, stable, and high-performing network and server systems.
About the Role
As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing Windows Server environments, VMware vSphere infrastructure, and Cisco network devices. Your daily tasks will include troubleshooting firewalls, monitoring system performance, implementing backup solutions, and collaborating with internal teams on infrastructure projects.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of professional experience in systems and network administration.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 and Active Directory.
- Experience with VMware vSphere, including vCenter, clustering, and resource management.
- Proven experience managing Cisco network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs, QoS, etc.).
- Experience with firewall configuration and management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
