About the Role
As a Systems Professional III, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various central office equipment, including Class 5 switching equipment, SS7/STP equipment, and Voice over IP systems. You will perform installations and repairs for telephone and high-speed internet services, work on IP-based networks, and interact with workforces to coordinate job assignments. The position requires physical capability to perform duties, including lifting tools and climbing ladders, and the ability to learn new technologies.
About You
Required:
- Valid Class D driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift 80 lbs and carry a 75-lb ladder on uneven ground.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of T1 and above technology.
- IP knowledge (LAN/WAN design).
- Basic understanding of electricity.
Preferred:
- Digital fundamentals and electricity theory, or equivalent trade experience.
- 2-year related degree.
- A+/Network Plus certification.
