Summary
KPMG US is seeking a Tax Intern for their Mergers and Acquisitions Tax practice for Summer 2026, with opportunities available in multiple locations.
About the Role
As a Tax Intern, you will assist with structuring tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions, perform tax due diligence, support sell-side tax advisory services, and prepare complex tax models. You will also build capabilities in key technologies that enable tax professionals for client service delivery.
About You
Required:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a JD and/or LLM, or equivalent program.
- Must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements.
- Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Knowledge of corporate, partnership, and international tax law, with interest in mergers and acquisitions.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking, and research skills.
- Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI.
- Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office.
