Summary
EY is seeking a Tax Manager for their Financial Services Organization, focusing on Captive Insurance, to join their team in San Jose, CA. The role involves overseeing captive insurance tax consulting, compliance, and feasibility projects.
About the Role
As a Tax Manager, you will manage multiple tasks in a high-performing environment, including the preparation and delivery of captive insurance tax consulting memos, feasibility studies, financial statement audits, and tax return reviews. You will also be responsible for building effective client relationships and managing engagement staffing and economics.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of Tax experience.
- CPA or licensed Attorney is required.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and SSAP 101.
- Experience in preparing 1120, 1120 PC, 1120 L and consolidated group returns; experience reviewing these returns is a must.
- Experience working in OneSource and/or Corptax environments.
Preferred:
- Experience with captive insurance companies.
- Knowledge of how captive insurance companies operate.
- Direct experience in state and local taxation.
- Self-motivation and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to lead a team of professionals.
