Summary

Liberty Tax is seeking a Tax Preparer to join their Managed Operations team in Tacoma, WA. The role involves preparing accurate tax returns for individuals and small businesses while providing exceptional customer service.

About the Role

As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing individual and small business tax returns, reviewing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, providing customer service, and maintaining accurate documentation. You will also participate in ongoing training to stay updated on tax laws and assist in mentoring junior staff.

About You

Required:

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation.
Must have PTIN or be eligible to receive.

Preferred:

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
