About the Role
As a Teacher in the Head Start program, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and safe environment for preschool children, planning and implementing educational activities, and engaging with parents to support their children's development. You will also participate in assessments, develop individualized education plans, and ensure compliance with various educational standards and regulations.
About You
Required:
- Associates degree in early childhood education or equivalent coursework with experience teaching preschool age children for Teacher I.
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or equivalent coursework with experience teaching preschool age children for Teacher II.
- Master's degree in early childhood education or equivalent coursework with experience teaching preschool age children for Teacher III.
Preferred:
- EEC Preschool Teacher certification.
- Bilingual in a language spoken by families served by ABCD.
