Summary

About the Role
As an Elementary Teacher in an SEI setting, you will creatively provide an interdisciplinary course of study that integrates reading, writing, and analytical skills development. You will implement district learning goals, create a child-centered environment, establish classroom structure, and administer assessments in accordance with district guidelines. The role emphasizes accountability for student achievement, effective communication of content knowledge, equitable instruction, cultural proficiency, and professional collaboration.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Massachusetts Teaching License in Elementary 1-6 and SEI endorsement or dual certification in ESL.
- Meet all state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
- Current authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred:
- Experience teaching in urban schools.
- Degree in Education.
- Fluency in one of BPS' official languages: Spanish, Creole (Cape Verdean), Creole (Haitian), Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, or Somali.
- Certification in Moderate Disabilities or English as a Second Language.
